Thick and gluey -- Works in the right conditions

"Without any products on, I have chronically chapped lips. Been a century-long journey of trying different lip products. I've yet to find the perfect thing. The past few years before trying this, I'd been using the LANEIGE berry lip mask, applying at night and morning after brushing my teeth, and sometimes throughout the day under lip makeup because other balms alone just didn't cut it. I found that the LANEIGE lip mask was nice but the effect was never long-lasting, and I didn't really wake up with soft lips, I woke up with them being neutral to dry. I tried this product on a whim. The texture is very different from the LANEIGE. This product is cheaper which is a plus, but definitely not as comfortable to wear. This lip mask is like glue on your lips--really thick and sticky--and your hair will often get stuck to it. But with the right prep, you will wake up with much softer lips. If you find yourself in a state where your lips are already very dry or even bleeding, putting this on top of them without some sort of other prep won't get to do a lot for you, even after exfoliation. I unfortunately find that this product works amazing when layered AFTER another moisturizing product. Finding a hydrating product and locking it in with this will have you waking up with the softest lips ever. So I'd say this is a really good sealant. I even use this to prep before makeup sometimes and it helps my lip softness last much longer than anything else I've used before even under drying lip products or after eating throughout the day. It's not my godsend, but I would buy again (if I even run out soon, a little has gone a long way)."
