Corporate Girlies, This One's for You: The Standard Seoul Routine We Filmed

Corporate Girlies, This One's for You: The Standard Seoul Routine We Filmed

This one started as a 30-second reel. We sat one of our team on a bench by the office window, gave her a mic, and let her talk to every "corporate girlie" who wants good skin but leaves the house with wet hair and a coffee in one hand. The brand was Standard Seoul, and the pitch was basically: here's a routine you can do while your kettle boils.

A reel is fast, so a lot got cut. This is the slower version, with what each product actually does and when we reach for it.

Why we picked this brand for the office crowd

Standard Seoul Firming V-Fit Dual Jelly Pad

Standard Seoul is a K-beauty brand that takes its name and its mood from the city. The whole idea is products that work quickly for people who don't have twenty minutes to spare, which is pretty much everyone on our team between Monday and Friday.

When we storyboarded the reel, the first line we wrote was "corporate girlies, listen up," and everything else came from that. If you only have time for one thing, the Firming V-Fit Dual Jelly Pad is where we'd start, but keep reading for the blue one too.

The jelly pads, a.k.a. the five-minute morning

These were the stars of the reel. Each pad has a soft jelly side and a wiping side. You stick the jelly side on like a tiny sheet mask for about five minutes (we do it while picking an outfit), then fold it and wipe outward from the middle of your face. Pat in whatever essence is left.

The blue one, the Hydrating V-Fit Dual Jelly Pad, is the puffy-morning pad. It has ten types of hyaluronic acid, five ceramides, panthenol and glutathione, plus a patented cooling complex that's meant to help with that swollen, just-woke-up face. It also smooths things out before makeup, which matters if you're doing foundation on the train.

Pink jar, bouncy skin

In the reel this got one line, "PDRN and collagen for bouncy skin," and people asked about it more than anything else in the comments. The Firming V-Fit Dual Jelly Pad uses vegan collagen, plant-derived PDRN, NMN, ectoin and peptides, and it's aimed at firmness, elasticity and the look of big pores.

Same two-sided pad, same cooling complex. Our rule in the office ended up being blue on dry, tired days and pink when your skin just looks a bit flat.

The mask you save for the big days

Presentation day, a client dinner, the morning after a long flight. That's when the Brightening Gelifty Mask Set comes out. It's the gel mask we pointed people to at the end of the reel, and it comes in two pieces: the upper part goes around your eyes and forehead, the lower part goes around the mouth, and then you pull the side wings up along your jawline and fix them in place.

It has glutathione, niacinamide and ten vitamins, and the stretchy lifting sheet is there for contour care and puffiness. It looks a little silly on. Lock the door.

Where the ingredients get interesting

Toward the end of the reel she says the ingredients across the whole range are really good, and the serums are the best example. The Brightening Bouncy Boost Serum has niacinamide, alpha-arbutin, kojic acid and vitamin liposomes, and it's for dark spots and dull, uneven tone.

It's a two-layer formula, so you attach the dropper the first time and shake it every time. If you want more hydration you can layer it two or three times. There's also a blue Hydrating version with hyaluronic acid and ceramides if brightening isn't your thing.

And the last step before you run out the door

The reel ended on a scroll through the Standard Seoul page on our site, and the pink tube at the top is the Collagen Firming Glow Sun Screen SPF50+ PA++++. It's broad-spectrum sunscreen with vegan collagen, PDRN, bakuchiol, retinal, glutathione and hyaluronic acid in the mix.

It goes on light, without the sticky feeling or white cast, and leaves a bit of glow. Use it as the final step in the morning and reapply when you can, even if "when you can" is in the office bathroom at 3pm.

If you saw the reel and wanted the details, that's the full routine: a pad on weekdays, a mask for the big ones, serum and sunscreen to finish. Everything we filmed is in our Standard Seoul collection.

FAQ

What is a dual jelly pad?

It's a toner pad with two sides. Standard Seoul's V-Fit pads have a soft jelly side you leave on like a mini sheet mask for about five minutes, then you fold the pad and use the other side to wipe outward from the center of your face.

Which Standard Seoul jelly pad should I pick?

The blue Hydrating V-Fit pad is about moisture and barrier care with hyaluronic acid and ceramides. The pink Firming V-Fit pad has vegan collagen, plant-derived PDRN and peptides, and focuses on firmness and pores. Both have a cooling complex for puffy mornings.

How do you use the Gelifty mask?

Put the upper gel mask around the eyes and forehead, the lower one around the mouth, then pull the side wings up along your jaw and fix them in place. After you take it off, pat in what's left.

Is Standard Seoul a Korean brand?

Yes. It's a K-beauty brand inspired by Seoul, and it's built around quick, effective products for people with busy schedules.
