Who's Your Glow Buddy? Unboxing the Sungboon Editor Toy Story Package With Our Team

Some PR mail you open at your desk. This one we saved for the camera. The Sungboon Editor Toy Story package showed up in a giant pouch that asks who's your glow buddy, so two of us set up a silver curtain, tore it open, and filmed the whole thing.

We already have a post about the collab launch itself. This one is the hands-on part: what was actually in the bag, which character is on which product, and how the textures looked on skin.

The pouch was half packing peanuts

The outside of the bag has the three ampoules printed on the front, so we knew roughly what to expect. What we didn't expect was the avalanche of white foam peanuts when we flipped it over. Half the reel is us laughing at the mess.

Underneath were five boxes, each with a different character, two squishy toys (we took a squishy break, obviously) and a sticker. First out was the Jessie box, the PDRN Pink Vitamin ampoule.

Jessie gets the pink one

The PDRN Pink Vitamin Glow Boosting Ampoule comes in the red Jessie box, which suits it. It's made with pink PDRN and vitamin B12, plus ten types of hyaluronic acid for moisture.

This is the one for skin that just looks tired. The texture is silky and soaks in fast, and it leaves a dewy finish without the sticky film some glow serums have.

Woody is the firming one

Woody's brown box holds the Silk Peptide EGF Intensive Ampoule. It uses a silk peptide and EGF complex aimed at firmness and elasticity, along with deep hydration for a plumper look.

Honestly it was the one we were most curious about, since it's the most grown-up formula in the package wrapped in the most nostalgic character.

Buzz is here for dull skin

The purple Buzz Lightyear box is the Kojic Acid Niacinamide Brightening Ampoule, with gold, niacinamide, turmeric and kojic acid. It's meant for dark spots and uneven, dull tone.

If you're picking just one ampoule for the post-summer leftover marks, this is the one we'd point you to.

The swatch test

Each ampoule comes with a dropper-style applicator, so we dripped them straight onto the backs of our hands. The brightening ampoule is a golden yellow with tiny flecks floating in it, and the glow boosting one is a clear, pale pink.

Both spread thin and sank in quickly. Neither left our hands tacky, which mattered because we were about to handle a lot of boxes.

Bullseye and the capsule cream

The creams came next. Bullseye is on the PDRN Pink Vitamin Glow Boosting Capsule Cream, the partner to the Jessie ampoule. It has D-PDRN capsules that break as soon as they touch skin, plus eight types of hyaluronic acid.

It's meant as the last step of your routine. If you like matching sets, the Jessie ampoule plus the Bullseye cream is the obvious pair.

The capsules are the fun part

The green Alien box is the Kojic Acid Niacinamide Brightening Capsule Cream, with kojic acid, turmeric, niacinamide and glutathione. On the arm you can see the yellow capsules sitting in a clear gel before you blend them.

Swatched side by side with the pink PDRN cream, it looks like a little jelly candy lineup. Both melt down into a clear, glossy layer once you rub them in.

So, who's your glow buddy? On our team, the dull-skin people grabbed Buzz and the tired-skin people went straight for Jessie. Every box also comes with a random sticker, and you can see the rest of the brand in our Sungboon Editor collection.

FAQ

What's the difference between the three Toy Story edition ampoules?

The Jessie box is the PDRN Pink Vitamin Glow Boosting Ampoule for moisture and a dewy glow, the Woody box is the Silk Peptide EGF Intensive Ampoule for firmness and elasticity, and the Buzz box is the Kojic Acid Niacinamide Brightening Ampoule for dullness and dark spots.

Is the formula different from the regular Sungboon Editor products?

The Toy Story edition is limited packaging with character art and a random sticker. The product descriptions match the regular PDRN, Silk Peptide EGF and Kojic Acid Niacinamide lines.

Can I use an ampoule and a capsule cream together?

Yes. Use the ampoule first and the capsule cream as the last step of your routine. Pairing the same line, like PDRN with PDRN, is an easy place to start.

How do you use the dropper ampoules?

Remove the cap, insert the applicator and tilt to dispense, then spread it evenly over the face and let it absorb. Put the applicator back in after use for storage.
